Does anyone else have problems swiping whether forward or back on their MBP? If I have the gesture set to two finger scroll left or right I normally have to "scroll" 1-3 times before it takes my gesture as go back or forward. I finally set it to three finger swipe and it appears to take pretty much all the time. I also played with the sensitivity of the trackpad to no avail. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I also had two finger tab for right click and disabled that. It seems to happen a lot less now.

It must have something to do with the new haptic feedback trackpad. I can't really say, though, since I have a mid 2014 15'' rMBP with glass trackpad/mechanical clicking.

sometimes i notice the delay, sometimes i just pass it off as my wifi though. Ill have to pay closer attention

I've had no such issues on my 2015 13" retina MacBook Pro.

Do you have tap to click enabled or disabled? I'm wondering if it's this but even with it disabled I still have problems.

I'm not sure what you mean. I don't have to click anything to enable or disable. Mine has had the feature by default since I got the MacBook. I mainly use it in Safari when going back and forth with web pages.

There's a gesture to act as a right click by tapping or clicking two fingers onto the trackpad and was wondering if that was enabled for you? I switched it from two finger tap to bottom right hand corner instead and that seems to have helped a little.

I have the 2015 13" with force touch and initially when I got it I did have some issues with swiping but now they seemed to have disappeared. I think due to the nature of the new trackpad there might be a difference but it seemed that one gets used to it like people using the new keyboard on the rMB. The only issues I have currently is that the swipe back doesn't work all the time on Parallel but that wouldn't exactly be a hardware problem.

My 2015 13" rMBP randomly doesn't register two finger swipes. It doesn't happen on a regular basis though.

I was able to replicate your issue when i try this gesture with my fingers right next to each other(reliable about 3/4s of the time)... if I created space between my fingers, the gesture was 100% reliable.. don't know if this will solve it for you(since different model), but I figured it was worth mentioning..

I have the same issue. I only see it going between webpages in safari. The two finger back and forth between webpages sometimes takes like 4-5 times to register.

No idea why.

I also have the tap and click with 2 fingers enabled as my right click.

Hope someone knows why!

This seems to make sense, I just tested this and so far holds true. I would like to add when the side scroll bar is showing the software automatically reject the swipe back feature, some users might be experiencing this.

I tried giving it some space and I still have the problem where every once in a while it will not go back or forward. Very frustrating.
