Mid-Night Release for iPhone 4s?

I sold my 3GS, just a few hours ago. I have full intentions to purchase the iPhone 4s. Since pre orders are backed up, will any retail or ATT store host a mid night release event? I don't mind waiting in line, I just don't want to wake up early and wait in line. Will I also be charged with a upgrade fee? Or can I just walk in with 200 cash and walk out with a new iPhone 4s, plus taxes?

Unless you live in a tax-free state (is there one?), no, you can't walk in with just 200 bucks.
