Midair product blistercards

So Ive done my fair share of blistercards in the past, but a new product has come across my desk where I think I would like to use a blister where the product is held in space, instead of against the backer card. Ive seen this done alot with Transformer toys and Robot toys in general. Anyone have experience with these? Other than the backer and the insert is there anything else I need to supply the factory? Thanks in advance.
