Middle button on Microsoft Mouse flips screen to widgets?

Hi all,
how do I turn off the pushing-down command on my middle mouse button? I'd still love to scroll, but pushing-down flips the screen to the widgets screen right when I'm trying to read through stuff. Thanks all.

EDIT TO ADD: Don't worry: I found it!

In settings->mission control, uncheck mouse buttons. Mouse middle button is for paste, shouldn't be misused.
