Finally got the system running at 10.4.7.
My setup's very simple, just the iMac, firewire solo (for dig. audio), Motu micro-express (midi interface) + sound module.

Finally got firewire solo responding & running (loooong process), now the Motu's unusable.

I opened audio midi assistant (in utilities) to set up the studio - it used to work just fine at OS10.3.9 -- but now won't work. When adding a new device, it only has one option - another MOTu interface. It should give you a lengthy menu of manufacturers for your midi devices - roland, akai, korg, etc....

I downloaded the most recent MOTU driver for it (1.8), unsure if it's the mac audio MIDI assistant or the motu at fault. anyone else have similar issues? advice?
