I bought black, but really liked the blue a lot
Unfortunately, using the case drained my battery like crazy (6s)
Strangest thing, but it did
Excellent battery life case-less, put the case on and it drains significantly
I no longer use mine

You're saying Apple's leather case somehow caused your phones battery to drain faster? Uh, ok.

To the OP, both blue and brown look great. I have both and switch between them regularly :)

Yes, that's exactly what I am saying, did you have trouble understanding the post?
No case... great battery life, about 10% loss during a normal work day
Apple's Leather Case... battery drains rapidly losing about 60% during the same conditions
Use the case for a week... same thing every day
Remove the case... battery returns to normal great battery life
Same conditions and usage each day in the same work office environment

I'm not saying I can explain it
But I am saying I experienced it

If you want to believe it's the case, all the best.

Did you notice signal loss? Maybe put phone into field test mode and record the dBM with it off and then with it on?

I think the blue would look great with the silver iPhone. I have the midnight blue leather case for my rose gold iPhone and love it. If you want a case that will age then the brown develops a nice patina from pictures I've seen. The lighter cases in my opinion don't age as nicely and with my midnight blue case it's so dark you can't really tell if it's developing a patina or not.

I really like the saddle brown! I currently have the black on a white iPhone and had the midnight blue in the past on a black iPhone. I recommend the look of the dark cases on white phones, but if you're looking for a good natural leather look that'll age nicely, go with the brown.

Loving the saddle brown I take it back!
Wow!
It's beautiful w the rose gold using it today! It arrived yesterday and I love it!

I have both the Midnight Blue and the Saddle Brown and use the Saddle Brown the most it really looks sharp especially after it breaks in a bit.

I like photos of the saddle brown, but it just doesn't go with an iPhone of any colour. ;) It seems like a complete mismatch, considering the current iPhone colours and materials.

I'd go for the midnight blue. I think it would look great with any of the iPhones, but particularly fetching with the pink or gold. :)

I personally love it- love the color for anything - wallets etc
I also love the blue but I seriously thought the same... Till today. Now I love it.
It's just a matter of what YOU like

Ok I see up top a bunch of pics-
Honestly the white on white looks best lol
I just adore how they fit in our hands- (the apple leather cases)
I'm dying for w silicone

I'm seriously saying that the Rose Gold (yes, I know it has a white front) doesn't go with the saddle brown because the bottom edge of the phone is mostly exposed, and the Rose Gold simply doesn't match well with saddle brown.
Same goes for the Rose Gold ring around the home button, and any exposed bits on the sides of the phone.

That's why I'd prefer the Blue, which I think would look good with ANY of the iPhone colours. ;)

The real question is how's the battery life? Pink and brown don't sound too good. Honestly I didn't see that the OP had a rose gold.

Battery life is fine- with the apple case I don't understand why the battery would drain faster with or without?

I have white silver iPhone.
Wonder how's the silicone ? (White silicone) instead leather :)

So you like the white does it stay clean or is it easy to clean? I'm getting a 6S (I have a 6S+ now) today and thinking I might make a run to bestbuy and get another saddle brown case. I do like how the white looks, bet it would be sharp on a space grey phone too.

Someone posted that a case made their battery drain faster which I personally feel in nonsense so its like a inside joke now.

Not sure who it's an inside joke with. I don't consider it a joke. That user, who is one of the oldest and most prolific posters on MRF (18k posts since 2004), simply stated his firsthand experience with the case. He never claimed to understand why and never made a big fuss about it.

Furthermore, while I have zero understanding of materials' conductivity or affects on signal, there have been many examples of cases through the years causing signal degradation, and as you may or may not know, almost nothing drains an iPhone battery faster than poor signal.

To quote you, "it's the Internet."

You think it's possible that you misinterpreted my tone and have no idea how I feel about it? Or do you just assume to know it all.

Based on your other responses, I'm going to assume the latter, so let me clarify: I. Don't. Care. I have ZERO emotional investment in what people say or think about me or others. I was just putting that info out there for context.

Folks love cherry-picking and pushing others' buttons on here, and I was simply trying to give some context and "un-muddy" the waters.

May I suggest watching less 24-HR news networks? You seem a bit tightly wound and bombastically reactive.

Quite frankly, if I didn't recognise MacDawg from MR, I'd also take anything he says with a grain of salt. It's the internet, and he may not post here often enough for me to become familiar with him. Seems OK with me.

And yes, phone cases can degrade either mobile signal, or WiFi, and it doesn't need to be made of metal or anything for this to happen. ;) That will cause some loss of battery life. I'm not sure about 40%, but if you use your phone for internet often enough, a case could greatly increase the battery consumption of the radio by 50%. Sure, that's just the radio, and not things like the screen, so it wouldn't matter that much. I'd believe 20% though if you're an avid Tumblr pjorn freak like me.
I barely use my phone for talking, so it's just animated gifs, spamming forums, etc.
