ok so i went to use the scroll ball on my mouse last night, and i noticed i wasn't able to scroll down. it didn't work for a few minutes but it eventually started working again. now that i'm using it today, i can't scroll down at all. i can still scroll left, right, and up. has anyone had a similar issue? is there any way i can clean it out? any help is appreciated.

If you searched the forum you would find many posts about this.

Dirt messes up the rollers stopping them rolling. Search for tips on cleaning.

Many, many threads on this issue.

What it happens to me, I take a damp cloth and rub the scroll wheel with it for a minute or two. A lot of times the grease from your fingertips causes this problem and a simple cleaning is all that is needed.

I have had the same problem many times. Sometimes it's sweat (nasty) or other things. Agreed that a wet paper towel would work
