Well, another mighty mouse out of action, and it joins the spare parts heap. It was only about three months old, and I had to take it apart and clean it after about two months. It also irritated me somewhat that it was tethered to the keyboard and the cable never did straighten out or sit right. I was ready to go shopping for another Logitech S530 setup. I have one on my mini that I really like and battery life is excellent.
I have a new refurb iMac 24" with the slim keyboard I like. Today I was out shopping and ran across the Logitech VX Revolution for a good price $50US at Wally's World. Hey - I had to take my daughter there, and I browsed the electronics area while she was shopping. Anyway, brought it home, unplugged the mm from the keyboard and plugged in the VX and it worked right off since I already had the Logitech stuff installed for the S530 on the mini. It came over when I migrated my account from the mini. I am very pleased with it, and wonder why Apple has had this on the market for so long, or at least made it so you have to perform major surgery to clean the thing.
My two cents.
Cheers
