Hmm.. Is'nt that strange.. Well let me know if you figure it out Or somebody else could tell us what to do? But, can you manage the buttons on your macbook pro now? (without the software?)

Yes, once I plugged the mouse in, Leopard knew this and gave me the screen to configure the buttons.

You don't need the CD. And you can ALWAYS download the software for almost ANY driver, just do a simple search or go to the company site.
