Mighty mouse......strange behaviour

I have a bluetooth mighty mouse. Today whenever I right or left click I get the dashboard open up. It wont click on a program to open it or let me do anything but opens dashboard and scrolls up and down.

The settings are fine. I unpaired and re paired it, still the same. I have plugged in my usb MM and that works no problem. So tried the wireless MM again and still doing same so I am having to use my usb MM

Does anyone have any ideas please.

I may be stating the obvious, but .......... First thing I would do is reboot the machine. If that didn't work, then change the mouse batteries.

get a new mouse!
the only other thing i can think of is someone else may have changed the mouse settings, but you say you checked the mouse preferences ¿

Tried rebooting and changing batteries..................think i'll just getta new mouse
