I've seen two kinds of mighty mice ... one kind has white 'squeeze' buttons on the side (which are used with exposé by default) and the other kind has grey ones.

What's the difference between these two types of mice except for the color?

Is it just me, or is the one with the white sides easier to perform a right click?
I just couldn't do it with my old MM (grey sides) and now my dad got one (white sides) and I can right click perfectly.

Any idea?

I bought the mighty mouse when it was first released, and I have the grey squeezy buttons. There are a few new iMacs at work, and they all have shorter cables and have white squeezy buttons.

I have also purchased two wireless mighty mice. One ages ago and one more recently. I can't remember what they are but I believe the more recent one is white.

SO

I believe the colour is purely cosmetic, possibly based on time released, possibly based on the bundled ones being white (and shorter cables), with wireless mice being different again (or not).

Rest assured, all mighty mice are able to right-click.

The earliest version of the Mighty Mouse came in a box with black sides (I have one) and had grey side buttons.

When the iMacs went aluminium the Mighty Mouse got a shorter cable and white buttons.

Somewhere in between the box went all white - possibly when the wireless one came out, not sure on that.

Similar to what Chundles said. The original Mighty Mouse, both wired and wireless have grey side buttons. When Apple released the AL iMacs last year and the Aluminum keyboard, they changed from grey buttons to white. So any Mighty Mouse you buy now will have white sides. Anything that came out before the Aluminum iMacs, will have grey side buttons. Hope this clears it up.
