Mighty Mouse wont Connect

I have a mighty mouse and it barely ever connects

It really only works when I turn the mouse on then turn on my powerbook

The batteries are full so thats not the problem and the bluetooth is set up correctly.

Anyone know whats up ?
 
OK Well it just started working after 20 minutes of being on

is that normal ?
