so i was waking my MBP up from it's sleep, and it's the 1st time it is ever happened since i bought my MBP ( 1 month ago ), the mouse wont move at all!!, the infra red is on ( the bottom side of the mouse ), but no matter what it wont move

so now i have to use the trackpad to move around the pointer

has anyone else experienced this before?

what could have been the problem?, is it my mouse or software bug?

but it have never happened before until just now

wired one
now after a restart, it moved back, but after it went to sleep, it wont move again

damn, what could possibly have gone wrong here

fortunately, i own 2 mighty mouse, and both the same, so now i know it isnt th mouse problem..

i havent changed any settings or installed new software, and it just happened like that

Me, too!

I have the same (sounds exactly) issue, with a slight difference. Mine is intermittent, not consistent.

When it happens, I have to open clamshell, use trackpad to restart, a big pain.

Intermittent problems really bug me, 'cause if i take it in to the Genius Bar, hook it up to an external monitor, use wireless keyboard and mouse, it will probably be hours or days before it happens.

So, I'm living with the 2 or 3 times a day reboot. PITA, for sure!
