Errr...ive been cleaning this thing for an hour and the scroll ball wont scroll up:mad: when i first realized this problem i assumed i just had to clean it once again like the other countless times but this time even though i cleaned it, it still wont scroll up any suggestions?:confused:

This works well for me:

Grab a paper towel, dab it in rubbing alcohol, rub it against the ball with the mouse upside down for a few minutes.

This should work.
 
I probably haven't had a Mighty Mouse as long as you guys, but after using the needle, it started working perfectly! I'm going to use the rubbing alcohol idea later tonight.

I had the same problem and followed Apple's cleaning guidelines, but my mouse refuses to work. When I scroll up, left and right the mouse is fine and 'clicks' as it scrolls. When I scroll down, the ball moves but there is no clicking or scrolling.
 
It would be nice if they made it easier to clean the Mighty Mouse. Maybe the next generation they can have a removable scroll ball.
