Hi Guys
I have two Macs, an old MacBook on Lion, and a MacBook Pro on Maverick.
I am stopping using the MacBook in favour of the MacBook Pro, and want to transfer everything over.
In typical fashion the shop told me it was easy, in reality it is not.
So I opened Migration on both. Tried on the MacBook Pro, and it says it can see the MacBook, but says it is not running the latest version of OSX, despite having 10.6.8 installed.
I then thought about thought about doing it the other way, so I went onto my MacBook, and opened up Migrate, and it brings up "looking for computers" but that is it!! It doesn't load or even show the MacBook Pro.
I will be honest, my MacBook is very slow now, it's old. But it does always network via the Ethernet port to my Mac Mini fine with no issues.
I have connected the two units together via an Ethernet cable.
Can anyone help? I am mind boggled as to why they refuse to talk to each other!
Cheers
Neil
