I recently purchased a MacPro 2.8 Quad Core. I'm looking to Migrate my I tunes, Photos and certain docs. I looked into Migrate Asst. Doesn't seem to give specific choices. Though may have missed it. I'm can connect by Firewire or ethernet . Anyone have any suggestions. Coming for a Dual 2 GHz Powere PC 65 with updated Software. Thanks

PowerMac G5 uses SATA drives so you could just take the drive from the PowerMac and put it in the Mac Pro and transfer your files.

Just copy the contents of ~/Pictures, ~/Music, and ~/Documents to the corresponding folders on the new machine. Don't copy the actual folders themselves... just everything in them.

Putting the old drive in the new Mac Pro would be the fastest way to do it, but assuming you don't have hundreds of gigs of music and photos, network connection via ethernet or target disk mode via firewire should be pretty fast too.
