I have a i5 macbook pro running snow leopard with a 60SSD and 320 mechanical drive.
On the SSD is the operating system, apps, iphoto
On the Mechanical Drive I have the Users folder.
I'm getting a new macbook air with the 128SSD

What would be the BEST way of attacking the migration of these two hard drives to the new SSD.
I know that my itunes will have to be stored on an external drive due to its size.

I have time machine backups of both drives, and backup of the time machine.
And I used Carbon Copy to clone both the macbook pro ssd and HD.

I'm gonna neeed help on this one!

thanks in advance!

Migration Assistant will get MOST of your files over to the MBA's SSD, no problem. iTunes is going to be a challenge - do you, by any chance, have a Time Capsule? You could migrate your iTunes library there.

i have a time capsule yes. It has backed up on it both hard drives.

You then think i should just migtration assistant not setup assistant. or are they the same?

thanks!

Setup Assistant can optionally invoke Migration Assistant as part of the setup process.
