So, I decided to do the dual drive SSD+HDD scenario in my 2009 MBP and lose the optical drive. I have 2 Mac laptops with Bootcamp partitions, an older MacBook with an SSD and a newer MBP with HDD. The older Mac with the SSD has the important Windows stuff and the newer MBP has the important Mac stuff. I installed the SSD into the MBP with an OWC Data Doubler. I booted the MBP into Mountain Lion from the SSD with no problem but I can't boot Windows 7 via Bootcamp. Is it a Bootcamp driver issue or a Windows installation issue? I expected there to be a Windows activation issue which is easily corrected but I can't even start booting to Win7. Yes, I backed up the BC partition with Winclone. Will restoring it make the BC install happy or am hosed? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
UPDATE: I was able to create a virtual machine from the BC partition with Parallels but still not able to boot natively.
