Whats recommended? Looking to buy an air or MBP with Lion preinstalled, and I'll be moving from a Snow Leopard MBP. It has a bunch of apps I don't really use, and my documents are all synced with dropbox.

So would it be simpler to just do a brand new install and then install essential apps from scratch, or use migration assistant to install some things from my time machine backup?

Since I'm doing the same (except to a MBP) I figured I'd reply. I'm planning on reinstalling all of my applications and setting them up by hand. Documents I'll transfer over from somewhere or dropbox as well. I'm using a new computer as a real chance to clean out all the crap that has accumulated in my home folder and library folders over the years. Personally I'm predownloading all the disk images and installer files and throwing them on my external harddrive so that I have to spend less time doing it on the new machine.
