Migrating iPhone from Snow Leopard to Windows 7

Hello,

I need to migrate my iPhone from Snow Leopard to Windows 7 on a different laptop.

Can anyone help/point me in the direction of a tutorial that shows me how to do this? I don't want to lose all my contacts/text messages/general phone settings.

I've backed-up my phone on Snow Leopard. Is it straightforward to transfer this to Windows 7? Ideally I don't want to lose my music metadata (playcounts etc) either but would rather keep data intact than music.

Thanks! I'm a bit stumped... :(
