Migrating to a new MBP

I’m about to replace my very first Mac, an early 2009 MBP, with new 2013 unit; thus this will be my first time needing to migrate from one system to another. My current system continues to run as good, if not better, as new. I’m running Mavericks.

Are there any advantages of using the migration assistance with Time Machine over using SuperDuper to re-clone my new machine with a image of my current one?

Thanks!

I would use /Applications/Utilities/Migration Assistant but not transfer Network settings since the network stack might be a little different. Just IMHO use the same username and don't forget to sign off iTunes on your old Mac before selling it, etc. This way the 5 computer limit won't bite you in the butt.
