Hi,

Basically I have a quick question about migrating from an iPhone 4 to iPhone 5 in terms of syncing to iTunes.

Firstly, let me paint a picture of my current use of my phone.

Up until Oct last year (when iOS 5 went PC-free) I was syncing my iPhone 4 with iTunes on my PC. When iOS 5 came out, I switched on iCloud backup and bought an iTunes match sub. If I want an album/song on my iphone, id get it on my iTunes PC library and wait for iTunes match to do its business then download it straight on the iPhone.

So, I haven't plugged my iPhone into any kind of computer for a good 11 months.

What I want to do with my iPhone 5 is start syncing it with my Air, so music gets transferred quicker.

However, I am just wandering what will happen to my iPhone when it gets plugged in first time? My worst case scenario is that all the apps i've previously downloaded will get re-installed and i'll be forced to spend time getting my phone back the way i like it.

Obviously, before i plug the iP5 into iTunes i'll restore it from the most recent iPhone 4 backup, so all my settings & app settings are already on there.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide me!
