I had a serious issue with my mac a while back which resulted in both of my internal HDs being damaged, meaning that the computer won't start up with them in (when the power button is pushed the mac clicks off during startup).

However, the data is still on there - I need to migrate the data onto a new HD but as the original HDs can't be in the computer I need some sort of external inclosure to host it whilst the migrating is taking place. Can anybody firstly recommend something along those lines and secondly how this process works. I've migrated systems over firewire from computer to computer before when upgrading - is it exactly the same?
