Migrating Windows install from external disk to new partition

I have a Mac Pro with Windows 7 installed on an external disk that I access by restarting via Boot Camp, and I want to copy its contents into a new partition in my MacBook Pro's internal drive. I know I have to install Boot Camp on the laptop to create a Windows partition, but the Boot Camp process requires installing a new copy of Windows, with all the license hassles, etc.

:eek: How do people move existing Windows installs to new machines?
