Yesterday I made a time machine backup then started from USB Big Sur installer, in recovery I could see the backup but couldn’t restore as the program tells you need to install Big Sur first and then use Migration Assistant. So I did only to find the latest backup labeled “today” and hidden under the name of the machine was in reality an old backup. Migration Assistant doesn’t find the last backup WTH!
