So a few weeks back I upgraded my macbook hd and dropped my old drive in a usb enclosure. I thought generally you needed firewire for migration assistant, but it was letting me with the USB drive, so i went ahead and did it...but things didn't end up so pretty.
For the most part, everything works fine, but my settings and all didnt transfer the way they have with migration assistant in the past. So i manually copied a lot of my preference folders from my old user library, and for the most part, things work fine.
The big issue: a lot of programs quit out randomly, or give me this message and i have to reopen several times before it's stable. Oh, and quicksilver randomly quits out. Is there a quick fix to this? I've tried repairing disk permissions, but that did nothing. Any thoughts?
