Migrating from a mid 2009 MBP 13" running ML to a rMBP 15" Used migration assistant to migrate from a time machine backup. The migration appeared to complete successfully (although suspiciously in a lot less time than was forecast), however on login it was clear that apps hadn't migrated properly and a ton of data was missing. I suspect my wireless network or NAS running slowly may have caused the problem. I rebooted and launched migration assistant again hoping it would pick up from where it left off in the process - but no luck. Do I need to wipe the disk and start again?
Also, when I did the above, I created a new account then used migration assistant. I presume if I'm to start from scratch again, I should really have just recovered directly from the time machine backup at boot time?
Finally ... I presume using Internet Sharing directly via the Macs would be quickly than going via the router?
