Hi all,
I've just run Migration Assistant on a Macbook Air to bring over my data from a Time Machine backup done the same day on an older Macbook. However all the data that came over is from September 2009: files, settings, etc. Mysteriously, Time Machine claims it doesn't even have a backup that old -- the oldest it says it has is January 2010.
September 2009 is when I did my first Time Machine backup, but I've been updating it regularly ever since, including just before the migration. How can I force Migration Assistant to bring over the most recent backup? Or could it be that that was the last full backup done, and if so, how do I force a full backup on my old system now?
Also when redoing the migration, will I be able to overwrite this September 2009 data, or do I need to delete it first -- and if so, how?
Thanks for any guidance!
