I just got in my i7 27" a few days ago, and finally got around to setting it up (had to redo an area so our puppy wouldn't get it). I performed the Migration Assistant using an ethernet cable between the 27" and my 2006 Macbook Pro. It took over 10 hours for 320GB, and finally stopped sometime in the morning hours.

At 4am this morning, our power went out so I shut down both computers normally before the UPS cut out. But when I turned on the 27" this morning, all I get is a the Apple logo coming up, and then the screen stays white. The keyboard and mouse do not seem to connect at all.

I tried to put the ethernet back in and run Migration Assistant, but it says it is looking for another computer and does not find the iMac. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Thanks,
Vince
