Help, i decided to cancel the migration assistant and now I'm left with like 100 gb other

HELP!

It's "other" because Spotlight indexing hasn't completed in order to know anything more specific about the "new" data on the drive.

(Wrong forum, BTW. This is more a software-related OS X issue, than a Macbook Pro specific one.)
