I was wondering if there was somewhere some migration guides to nmpro.
Yeah I'm looking to make me one to have a clear view on where I go if I do this upgrade.
For my own migration guide, I see those basis and topics to apply and cover:
- Tune down any TB 1 or 2 solution, I just don't believe yet seeing what happened to firewire. But I could use one for the external windows drive.
- No Firewire but USB 1 to 3 is ok to reuse or use.
- No SCSI, ha well that's not unexpected.
- Migration from Lion on the mpro to Mavericks on the nmpro.
- Migration from Windows XP on the mpro to Windows 8 on the nmpro.
- What external drive solution for Windows 8 with bootcamp.
- What external drive solution for music library (over 1Gb).
- OSX + Music library Backup, Time Machine based but I don't like a wifi based solution as Time Capsule. 3gb backup seems the only comfortable solution.
- Windows backup, could be the occasion to change the current crap solution I'm using.
- Display solution, reuse Apple 30" display.
- Printing/Scanning solution for later it's ok to throw the current trash I have.
No special pro usage, just browsing forums and few gaming.
Ok fine but so tedious for me, and have a general guide to use as a base would be very helpful. Have you any link?
