Hi guys,

So I performed a migration from my mac mini to my mac pro but then had to put the mac mini back into service and added more info to it. Now I am reperforming the migration but it will not allow me to delete the old user and replace it. So i renamed the (second/newer) user name but should I do about the first migration files created?

I threw away all files that I found with (from old mac) in the title. Considering I will now have 3 of the same file, one being titled XXX, then second being titled XXX(from old mac) and XXX (from old mac 2) or 2*.

I take it I should just search my HDD for any file titled (from old mac) and just trash them. Is this correct? and how came I remove my original user name and then change my updated user name back to what it originally was considering it wouldn't delete or overwrite the original name when i did the migration.

Sorry for the huge rant. Just confused at this point. Any help would be appreciated.
