Migration snafu?

Hopefully someone out there can help me.
I bought a new MacBook Pro a few weeks ago. This is my first Mac laptop although my husband already has one. Using the migration assistant, we just transferred the things on his laptop that were actually my files (pics and music mainly); however, during the process a user setting was created for him on my new laptop (it had not been previously created and we did not chose to migrate anything OTHER than pics and music) so now I can not access it from my user profile. How can these be "transferred" since the files are actually mine?

Just create a user account of your own. The go into Macintosh HD (if you kept the default name) -> Users and then you should see both your account and your husband's. Just copy the files from your husband's into your own account directory and then you can delete his account. This will work if you only are interested in the files. If you want to retain settings this will not work.
