My new (refurb) MBA will arrive sometime Friday. When I purchased my PB G4 5 1/2 years ago, I used the migration assistant to move my accounts, data and settings via firewire (I think) from my old PB G3 Pismo. PB G4 is running Leopard.

1. Are there any need to know tips, watch-outs, etc that will ease the transition from Power PC Leopard to Intel Snow Leopard, and what is the best method for making actual file transfers without firewire? I currently do Time Machine updates to an USB drive, but will also be updating my wireless from an Airport Express to a dual band Time Capsule.

2. Should I anticipate making lots of updates of my current applications for them to run on Intel, or will they still work OK? TIA

Well Migration Assistant for the MacBook Air is covered over WiFi, so in that aspect, you should be all good :)
