Hi,

Wonder if the Macrumours Hive Mind could clarify something for me, please?
I've have a trusty 4 year old Macbook, with a 250Gb drive. Because my iTunes library is big (approx 180Gb, thanks to many years of buying CD's rather than, say, food), I've kept it on an external drive.

I've just bought myself a new Macbook Pro, which arrives next week (I had my reasons for not waiting for the new one), and so I'd like to use the Migration utility to shift stuff across from the Macbook to the MBP.
Because the MBP's drive is so much bigger (750Gb), I'd now like to store my iTunes library on the MBP itself (but still taking regular backups, obviously!).

If I have the external drive plugged in and running before I start the utility, will it treat the drive as an extension of the Macbook's harddrive, and simply move the Music folder across, or will I have to manually move that folder seperately?

Thanks!
