Hiya,
Im about to migrate my stuff to a new Macbook Pro - from a Macbook Pro..
I will update the OS in the new machine to the same build as the other one.. so they are identical in every way (they are the same MBP unibody 17" units)
I cannot face a full reinstall so will use the migration tool.. I have been told its fairly rock solid.. firstly is this true?
Secondly.. I've had issues with Adobe licenses in the past getting confused. So I was planning on uninstalling CS3 on my old laptop, and migrating, then re loading it onto the new laptop. Would this work?
Failing that.. what happens.. if..
I install CS3 from scratch on the new laptop, from the master install disks, but leave it on the old laptop and de-activate it .. then do the migration. Is the migration tool intelligent to not over-write the files from the old laptop to the new one.. so which install will take priority? Will the CS3 version on the new laptop stay and the migration tool will not mirgate any CS3 apps from the old laptop?
Does this even make sense?
