The Mikomi webcam DC-7120, which is a "UVC" webcam: http://tinyurl.com/mikom-uvc-5mp-cam

MY VIDEO STATES THE MINIMUM MAC OS X VERSION AS 10.4.9 - THIS IS AN ERROR - 10.4.3 IS REQUIRED, AND 10.4.9 ADDED SUPPORT FOR ICHAT.

Available from Argos (UK) stock code: 675-4611 at £22.99 as of 10-09-2009. This is one of the new, driverless "UVC" class webcams, which is NOT listed as Mac compatible by the manufacturer, but is, in fact, recognised by all versions of Mac OS X as of 10.4.3 (iChat support was added in 10.4.9 and upward) without ANY driver installation needed - the device is a NATIVE webcam!.

Working, tested video apps: iChat, Photo booth, Quicktime (7 and X [10]) Skype, Screenflow.

This camera works perfectly as a replacement camera for any Mac meeting the minimum OS X version of 10.4.3 and upward (works in Snow Leopard 10.6.1 - this review was filmed on it!). Enjoy the sample footage (captured @ 640x480 pixels using Quicktime X on Snow Leopard). Please note that the audio was captured using "Sony Singstar" microphones for the PS2, connected to the Mac. The Mikomi webcam mic works fine, but I just prefer to use the better (stereo) audio of the "Sony Singstar" mics.
