Why, when using the mindfulness app, can a session be interrupted by notifications? Is Apple missing the Alanis Morissette type non-irony here (ie, rain on your wedding day, which is NOT irony, just coincidence) re: the point of mindfulness, which is NOT to be interrupted? Is there a way to turn off notifications while using the app? The old breathe app ignored notifications by default.

Thanks....!

You can turn them off in the app

But, yeah, it's a horrible solution. I had them going off at 11:00 PM, sometimes I was already asleep by then, and I had no idea there even was a setting.

I also don't want to reflect, but I like to breath. I sometimes do this when I can't sleep but trying to adjust the settings, because breath doesn't seem to stay at 5 minutes, at night isn't so easy with my close up vision.

Some pretty terrible work on this one.

Thanks! But I'm not seeing any options in Mindfulness/Breathe to block notifications from other apps....(I'm a little slow, though)...

I have no comment on Mindfullness. But you’ll get a real kick out of realizing that the song is perfectly named because titling a song Ironic but not having any ironic lyrics is, well, ironic.
L o L. I never thought of it that way (mind implodes ironically).

I was having the same problem. I did a search on t'internet and found the following solution which worked for me:

1) Open the "Settings" app on your phone
2) Tap on the "Focus" Button
3) Tap "+" in the top right corner of your phone
4) Tap "Mindfulness"
5) Tap "Next"
6) [ Optional ] Select your allowed people
7) Tap "Allow" or Allow None"
8) [ Optional ] Select your allowed apps for notifications
9) Tap "Allow Only Time Sensitive" or "Allow None"
10) Tap "Turn Mindfulness on Automatically"
11) Tap "Done"

The Mindfulness Focus mode will now Start and Stop automatically when you use the Mindfulness App.

Awesome, thanks! Although it is utterly ridiculous that you have to perform 11 steps so that you are.....not interrupted when using a mindfulness app. Jesus h.

Here you go:

"The update also introduces support for App Privacy Report, a feature that monitors when apps access sensitive data and sensors that are restricted by privacy settings, such as location information, and it fixes an issue that could cause notifications to interrupt Mindfulness sessions unexpectedly."
