I got an ZUGU case for my Mini 6 as soon as it was released. It has a microfiber back on the inside front cover. It shows wear, skin oils, etc., and when I tried to clean it with different things (water, alcohol, gentle soap), it didn’t clean well and had white marks on the edges of the dampened areas.

The current version of the ZUGU case, which fits the Mini 7, has a tiny pebble-texture rubber/vinyl (I think, but definitely not the fuzzy microfiber of the previous version) inside front cover. I think it will wear better than the microfiber.

I was hoping that the pencil slot on top had been modified like the 13” Air case but it hasn’t been. The slot has a pointed end and an oval end. The Air 13” case has oval ends on both ends so you can orient your pencil in either direction.

The new interior is also on the newer, larger iPads - I have one for my M4 13". I like it a lot better than the previous fiber.
I just checked the cases I have on my 2021 iPP 11” and Air 13” and they do have that new interior. I hadn’t noticed because I seldom use the 2021 iPP (I have the 2024 one that I use all the time) and don’t use the Air all that much and when I do, it’s with the case open as a stand. I’m touching that interior on the Mini all the time.
