Creating my first Commerce site next month. Its fairly small so I thought it could be a good step in the learning process. The site is for a tanning salon. The site layout should be fine and fairly easy. The owner would like to get online appointment booking and a very small online store for a few products.

As for the store section of the site, I had been reading some past threads and Magento, Zencart, and CRE seem to be all good choices. I was thinking credit card and paypal for payments and keeping the store on one page in the site instead of redirecting to a new window for the store. Good idea? Bad idea?

Any suggestions on the appointment booking setup also?

Thanks! looking forward to hearing some opinions/suggestions/feedback etc.

anyone have any opinions on Schedule View? It is currently being used by the shop owner but she is open for using new scheduling software. I would like to get something that would be able to send out txt msgs as reminders for appointments.
