Hi all,

I did search the forum but I could not find another thread which asked this question, though I am sure it probably has been asked already so apologies if so.

Unfortunately I had to buy a MBP about two months ago despite the impending update as my laptop died and I needed it for field research. The main thing I regret missing out on the upgrade was the mini display port which carrys both video and audio, as the amount of wires I have hanging around are a nightmare.

Can anyone tell me if there is likely to be a third party software fix that could enable the use of this feature or is it different hardware?

excuse my ignorance!

Apple could release an update to enable it or someone could crack the '10 models' driver.
