Is there a difference in picture quality if I connect a MDP to HDMI instead of a MDP to DVI from my macbook pro to my tv?Will I be able to play movies at 1080p if I use the MDP to HDMI?thanks in advance:):apple:

It's the same video signal, so it should look identical. If you have one of the latest generation MBPs, you can get a MDP -> HDMI adapter that supports audio, which is also a plus.

Should be fine. I bought a MDP to HDMI adapter off monoprice and tested it out a few hours ago and it worked fine. Though I only have a 720p TV, but it should work fine at 1080p.
