I cant find this adapter on Apple's site. Do they even carry it anymore?

Im wondering, since the Mini Display was replaced with thunderbolt, does Apple still support Mini Display cables?

Or is there anywhere else I can get this adapter that will work with both video and audio?

This is what I have and it works perfectly fine with audio support (It's also for Thunderbolt).

I'm sure you can find a good and cheap adapter on that website.

I got one cheap off amazon and free shipping (Prime), no need to pay for the crazy "Apple" prices. Works perfect with my tv. edit - opps misunderstood your question... hmm not sure about Thunderbolt and the port.

isn't thunderbolt compatible with min display?

i think it still offers audio/video out.

Or you could just buy an VGA to HDMI cable... I bought one on eBay for like $4. That is if you already own a Mini Displayport to VGA adapter.

But then aren't you going from digital to analog then back to digital? I would think there has to be some loss somewhere in there? Not to mention audio. I only hook mine up to my HDTVs to play BluRays, and want all of the "Blu" goodness
