Mini Displayport display with new mac

Hi,

I have an Apple display with a mini displayport, used with my late '08 MBP. When I buy a new Mac with thunderbolt, will there be any way to use this display with it?

Seems like this should be a common problem but I can't find a clear answer. I know you can't plug it into a thunderbolt port, but is there an adaptor or any other way to use the display?
