I've got an HP LP3065 monitor that is insanely great when driven by my current Mac Pro, but as I look towards getting a new Mac Pro I need to figure out how to attach my current DVI-D only monitor to speak a new language.

Apple's active adapter seems to be plagued with a ton of problems, and neither the StarTech MDP2DVID nor the Kanex iAdapt C30 MDPC30 have stellar reviews. They tend to go something like, "Works great if you don't mind the distracting artifacts and the need to unplug it and re-plug it every other time you use it." They all tend to start out well and get progressively crappy over the first year.

I'd rather pay more money for a product that is unlikely to frustrate me, so is there an adapter that the pros prefer that doesn't suck?
