Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter HELP!

I picked up a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter from Amazon. I used it to connect my late 2008 MBP to a Samsung TV and it works perfect. I tried to plug it in on my Westinghouse VR-4085DF and it cannot receive the signal.

Anyone know what might be the problem?
