just wanted to make a post about my experience...
i have a base model 2010 MBP 13", purchased in April 2010, running lion. (right after the 2010 updates) my TV is a samsung somethingorother purchased in decemebr 2010. ever since getting the tv, i've wanted to be able to connect the MBP to it so that we can easily share home movies from imovie.
finally, i broke down and purchased the kanex iAdapt mdp to hdmi adapter, along with a mediabridge ultra-flew hdmi cable.
the adapter and cable arrived yesterday. pulled everything out of the box, plugged the cable into the tv... plugged the adapter into the cable... then, plugged the adapter into the MBP... both picture AND sound!!! best part was, i din't have to go into system settings to change any of my settings - everything just worked. (i did go into system setting to change from desktop extension to mirrored display, but i didn't have to)
