im looking to connect my macbook to my hd tv to stream movies. I was wondering whats the best cheap connect i can purchase. will it offer audio support throught hdmi and does my macbook offer that support or will i have to use a audio spltter connect. When i checked under audio in system pref.. under HDM/ DisplayPort Output... it says display only so i just wanted to make sure

my macbook specs:
09 "13 in (rubberized bottom)
2.4GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB MEM

not sure when Apple made audio available on the miniDP ports, I think it was in 2010. Monoprice.com has them for like 13 bucks or so. U are going to need a 3.5mm to RCA cable for the audio as well.

or if you have something with an optical input, a mini-toslink to toslink cable will work.
