Mini DV Head Cleaner doesnt start

Hi guys,

I have just tried to log and capture vision into FCP 7 and it corrupted my tape (dont know how). One suggestion is that it had a dirty head so im now trying to clean it with a Mini DV head cleaner.

Ive never done it before, so when i put it in the deck and set the camera to VCR, pressed play and nothing happened.

Whats going on?

haven't used one of those in years but is the cleaner tape new or has it been used? Maybe its run its course and is at the end?

Are you sure nothing happened? A tape cleaner won't display anything on screen so the only way to know it's going is to watch the counter display on the camera/deck.
