I like to figure out how these things work, and it occured to me that if I use my Windows partition on my Macbook and connect it to a display then I can do all my gaming on a bigger screen.

Fine.

I have LOTS of cables but the two in particular that I tried using were my MiniDVI to VGA and my MiniDVI to Video.

Here's the weird part.

I plugged in my MiniDVI to VGA into my Macbook and then into a projector while on my Windows partition (I had to show a Powerpoint for school) and it worked fine. I don't recall even having to detect any displays or adjust any display settings - it did it automatically.

Then I tried plugging in my MiniDVI to Video into my Macbook. When on my regular OSX partition it seems to work fine, and I can adjust the display so it works better - it pretty much automatically detects it and we're set to go. However, on my Windows partition, when I plug it into my MiniDVI port and then into something, say, a TV, it doesn't work.

I've tried changing my settings so that I "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor" but every time I click that box and hit Apply it just erases it again.

What do YOU think I should do, or has :apple: finally failed me?
